Photo Cards vs Cardstock

One of our most commonly asked questions is... "What paper type should I get? Photo cards, or cardstock?" Here we will answer that question for you!

Photo Cards:

Photo cards are printed on professional photo paper by our professional photo lab. The cards will have the same type finish as a photograph. The finishes come in matte and glossy. Photo cards are more affordable, and have a faster turn-around time compared to cardstock cards. I most cases, we can get photo cards to you within 4-6 Business days.

Cardstock Cards:

Cardstock cards are digitally printed by our professional lab. They come in three finishes, matte (110lb paper), glossy (110lb paper) and recycled paper (100lb paper.) Cardstock cards are allow for printing on both the front and the back of the card, and they are more professional looking. These cards require extra time and shipping, which makes their turn-around time between 7-10 business days, in most cases.

I just wanted to give a heads up that next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 2nd and 3rd, I (Erin) will not be in the office. Any orders and/or edits for me during that time will not be done until Thursday, the 4th. If you are in a time crunch, please be sure to have your order finished up by this coming Monday.

A new month and a new contest!

It's February already! Can you believe it!?
So with the new month, we are going to start a new contest! With February being the month for Valentines Day, what better theme for a contest than LOVE?! Here are the details...

It's a photo contest, much like you see anywhere, but the specific theme is love. It can have anything to do with love. This isn't just for children or babies either! So get creative, and start taking those photos! No professional/studio pictures, please! To submit photos, email your pictures to ehowe@busybeegreetings.com with PHOTO CONTEST-LOVE in the subject line along with your name and email. We will accept submissions through February 20th in order to leave enough time to vote for the winner! Then come back to help vote for the best photo later in the month!

The winner will receive a free digital file of a design of their choice. (That might sound confusing, so I'll explain it. You pick the design you like, we'll make it for you and customize it to your liking, and you receive the final image to have printed at your convenience!)
If there is a big response, we will add more prizes, so help spread the word!!

We've been working hard on some changes around Busy Bee, and hope you're liking the new look! Expect to see some new designs very soon!

We're also holding a little "contest" of sorts. We've recently added a fanpage on Facebook, and our 100th fan (and the friend who invited them) will each win a free digital file of a design of their choice!! Hello friends! What a privilege it is to join the busybee team! I thought I should start out with a little introduction of myself. My name is Erin and I am a stay at home mom to my five beautiful kiddos. My husband and I have been married for 10 years this summer. I have been designing now for about 5 years, and never thought what started out as a hobby would turn into this! It's a lot of fun and I like working in my jammies. :)

Christy and I are excited to be working together to bring you the best designs you'll find anywhere! We are working on getting some new designs up so keep checking back. And if you don't find what you're looking for, let us create something for you! :)

In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of some new things to come!
